Once again we are inviting all Brightlingsea individuals, families, charities, churches,
schools, shops, businesses, clubs and societies to provide and decorate a tree for
display in All Saints' Church. Proceeds will be divided between All Saints and St
James churches. Trees can be any size or shape, fresh or artificial; as far as decoration
is concerned, the only limit is your imagination and afterwards your tree goes home
with you for Christmas.
Trees can be decorated at the church or brought ready-decorated. Power is available
for lights. The on site electrican will supply a long flex for lights to be tested.
He will then connect them when all the trees are in place.
Visitors can vote for their favourite trees in four categories and there will be
small prizes of sweets and chocolates for the most popular entries.
Trees should be brought to All Saints' church on either
Thursday 9th from 2pm to 8pm or
Friday 10th from 9am to 12 noon
Trees must be collected on either
Sunday 12th from 7pm to 8pm or
Monday 13th from 10am to 1pm
Unless arrangements have been made with the organisers for later collection, any
uncollected trees will be given to charity.
Please invite all your friends to come and see your entry and enjoy this spectacular
event. With your help - and with the help of others - the 2010 Christmas Tree Festival
promises to be another huge success.
