Brightlingsea is in North East Essex ,

8 miles south-east of Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town, and on the edge of Constable Country.

BY TRAIN

At the weekend trains run hourly from London Liverpool Street Station to Colchester North Station taking approximately one hour.  Taxis are available at Colchester North Station which will take about 25 minutes to Brightlingsea.  Alternatively buses run from Colchester North Station to Colchester High Street where you can catch a number 78X Cedric's bus to Brightlingsea.

A12 - A120 - A133 - Brightlingsea is at the end of the B1029.

PARK & RIDE

Visitors are recommended to use the Park & Ride bus at the Colne Community School car park marked on the map below. All Saint's Church is on the B1029, on a corner and on a hilltop and the flow of traffic on this busy road makes the small amount of parking at the church dangerous.
